Best area of the forums I could find to discuss this.

I have to wait until I sell my iMac so I can build my new rig…I've been doing the craigslist deal for about 2 weeks or so and have had nothing but scammers and a guy who wanted to trade me his tv for it. I've heard bad things about being paid via paypal…is there any other way to get about $1000 for this quick so I can build my rig before college starts back up?! :O

Advertise that it is cash on pickup only and no trades. then hang up on anyone who asks to trade or pay with paypal.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

I've done that, I live in a somewhat small population area. I think I may lack interest.

Overclock.net classifieds are good, but you need to be there for a while to be able to post listings.

You could also try eBay.

I've heard the paypal horror stories of when they receive your item and there is something "damaged" or w/e and they get their instant refund and keep your items. I'd cry for days if that happened to me lol

Shipping items is definitely unpleasant due to that. At least on overclock.net you can get a trusted user that's been there for a long time, so you're very likely to get one that will deal with your shipping insurance claim, rather than filing a claim with paypal.

I've browsed a little on that site but have no account so that seems like it'd be a pain xD

go to the nearest starbucks and put up a sign written in natural squid ink on fair-trade recycled papers

or... gumtree?

Hmm or I could bring my iMac to starbucks and write a novel on it, make it big, and buy an even better pc! If only English wasn't my worst subject
