Max_89

Hey guys,

i'm planning  to get a new pc and i'm trying to find the right config :)

The PC will be used for gaming and some video stuff, but nothing too hardcore

here the stuff i want to get and stuff i need help with:

CPU: i7 4790k or i7 5820k (don't know which one is better)
MB :  ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark 2 or Asus X99 Pro or A (don't know which one)       -       i just like the ASUS Boards but not the ones with red

RAM: 16 gig but i dont know which MHz or brand, just want them to be black :D
GPU:  Gigabyte Gtx 980ti G1 Gaming

Cooler: Corsair H110i GT

SSD: 120 GB Samsung 850 Evo for System and i have another 500 gig lying around (will add additional if needed, i dont want HDD but will upgrade another 1gig ssd at the end of the year)

PSU: Coolermaster V850 850Watt

Case: Corsair Air Cube 540 Black (i just like it dont know why^^)

I'm going to use the blue LED Case Fans from Corsair and going to build in some blue lighting

So as you guys and girls can see, my main concerns are the CPU, MB and RAM

Hope you guys can help out :)

I suggest a lower wattage but slightly better quality PSU. Everything else is expansive but if you like them they why not i guess.

You can get similar performance for alot less actually, mainly non OC cpu.

are you using www.geizhals.at ?

So I don't know budget or whether these parts are available but here is a build compatible with your plans that is color matched and better psu:

The V series from Coolermaster are of great quality. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=350

Hey, thanks guys. You are a great help :)

I want to OC the CPU so i will stick with the i7 4790k, if i don't have real benefits from the 5820k.

About the PSU which brand and Voltage would you suggest? (i rather have some buffer in terms of voltage)

And i dont plan to upgrade to SLI in any time soon, i think the 980 ti is enough as it is.

ps: i will add a ASUS Xonar D2X soundcard since a friend has one lying around without using it and will give it to me for free

EDIT2: still not sure about the RAM is 1600 MHz enough or should i go to 1866 or 2133 etc? Corsair looks awesome so i will go with them. But what series the Vengeance or Dominator?

They are.. just that QC isnt as tight as other brands.

Cooler Master have nothing to do with QC as they don't make the psu. The fully modular V Cooler Master units are made by Seasonic.
