So I'm a CS player (relatively the only game I play) and recently I've noticed that I've lost around 60 Avg FPS, and today, every other round my CS would just freeze for no reason, my cpu runs 55 degrees celcius max load. I also have been getting major input lag, every day my sens feels way off, and not by like how fast or slow, it just feels wrong. I've tried mousfix, launch options, raw input, no raw input. Nothing is working. Is my PC dying or am I missing something?
Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Ram: 8gb Kingston 1333

CPU: i3-2100

GFX: MSI GTX 760
Mouse: logitech g100s

Monitor: BenQ XL2411Z

Side note: My OS install is fresh as of 2 days, this was happening on windows 8.1 also, but the input lag wasn't as major, but still there.

The i3 might... might... be bottlenecking the 760. Also maybe the RAM cuz it's at 1333MHz, but I'm not sure. Try reconnecting the GPU to he PCI-e slot. Keep me updated if that helps :)

In cs:go you shouldn't just loose 60fps randomly

Hmm Think it may be software rather than hardware. Are you launching the game via steam? If so...

-Right click the game in your steam library

-Click properties

-Click set launch options

-Type in the following                          -novid -nod3d9ex -threads 4

Please note the 4 represents your cpus threads. (Taken from your specs)

-Click ok, then close the properties window.

-Start game and let me know if this has improved anything.

Have you been in "new"/suspicious websites recently? That big performance hit can easily be explained by some types of malware especialy bitcoin miners. Some of them don't just go away with a regular disk format, you'll need to use some specific tools to remove it (if it proves to be the case). Put your game settings as low as you can and use gpu-z to check the GPU load. If it's always at 98%+ load then you probably have a bitcoin miner or something similar. You can also try to install Windows on another hardrive that you haven't used in your system yet to see if the problem goes away.

My antivirus usually catches those sites but thank you for suggesting that, never though of it, I'll look into it.

EDIT: Just incase! If anyone was curious, I've heavily tweaked windows since installation, turned off every single possible service I could find that's not in use. I even use the windows classic theme and I have all of the nice look features turned off. Don't know if thats a factor but I figured I'd add that in.

Careful with those services and regedit tweaks. Even if they look harmless they can really make the system crash and malfunction in the long run and most of them aren't even worth the risk (excluding maybe some of the tweaks for SSD's like turning off indexing, and the basic visual ones like turning off animations and themes). Just to make sure none of those "tweaks" are the problem, try to test the system as close as "default" as you can.

tried opening the PC and cleaning out dust?

Haha, I had a friend come to me telling me his PC was dying and he was ready for me to build him a new system. I opened it up and the cpu fan, heatsink, and GPU fans were caked in dust. I took it out in my back yard and sprayed it down with my compressor and the system was running great again. I recommended a $20 set of filters for fixing his PC (it was like a $1500 system so I knew he didn't need to replace it after only two years).

All I've turned off is visual effects and windows features such as IE, tablet supports and things like that. Nothing heavy.
