I know of two people that got fired that day... Good luck getting another job.

Those boxes are probably empty otherwise they wouldn't throw a bunch of them at the same time.

Looks like postage boxes, for letters. Do you think that chick would be able to throw a stack of hard drives like that?

Plus it looks like the packages float in the air a bit, and don't come down hard like if it was weighed down.

You're blowing this out of proportion.

Which is why I stated SSD's, not HDD's. ;)

Also, I am obviously (at least to me) injecting humor into this post, because a lot of LTT Forum users probably came from NCIX, or have ordered something online.  I have no evidence that those packages in the video originated from an NCIX warehouse or other computer tech retailer.  The overall intent was to put a smile on the faces of users who visit the General Discussion forum from time to time.

Thank you for your post.

I know this behavior isn't exclusive to fedex. UPS and USPS (for those in the states) have handled some of my packages just as poorly as what was in the video, if not worse at times. It doesn't excuse this for happening at all, but it's certainly not just fedex to worry about.

This is why I pick up my orders from NCIX. 1 minute drive from my house, and I save $10.

I've worked in a couple of warehouses and subsequently a lot of postage handling guys, and people do this stuff all the time. Seriously, there's so much pressure to move things around quickly that there isn't much of an option. If the courier treats your stuff well, then the warehouse it came from has still probably thrown it down from storage, then to the packer, and then chucked it into the postage cages. This stuff is unavoidable no matter where you get your shipped items from or who the courier is.
