Whats the best Hitman games out of these?

I want to buy one and not sure which one...

honestly all hitman games are great. I vote for blood money and absolution.

Voted absolution in the poll because it looks good and plays good.

Absolution was pretty good.

What? Not outdated in terms of graphics, but in terms of gameplay and mechanics. They're not playable for me.

Also, even if you don't play the others, go read through the Hitman Wikia and learn everything. It's a very interesting universe.

im honestly horrified I had to use my vote to make BM equal with absolution.

Played all of them up to Absolution...have not finished it yet.  Start with the second one, Silent Assassin.  If I remember correctly it has some of the same missions as Codename:47... they are just graphically redone.

 

...guess what I am going to go play now?

Absolution has a story line that was both loved and loathed by the followers like myself.
Though obviously people feel a need to speak out when they don't like it as opposed to when they do.

I personally thought it was the best game of the lot as I like a strong story line to keep me interested and continuing to play. 

Absolution also had a lot better system for sneaking, conflict, being found etc (as it should being development). BUT I also found it was the worst for you actually getting spotted when in disguise. Though putting it on purist for me seemed to solve this (just how I felt, sure others might think otherwise).

If you want an easy break in to the franchise, start with one of the earlier ones and build up from that. Contracts is a good starter I think for graphics, game play, basic story line and mechanics. It also covers 47's back story in a decent way. Blood Money brings it together for the current releases helping understand "The Agency".

On that note, know we are due another release thats supposed to be back to a simple "kill contracts" model building on Absolution in terms of game play.

But not sure about it as Hitman looks like a baby (seriously, in Absolution in the storyline is in his 50's if not older), but its supposed to carry on from Absolution (its a story thing you have yet to learn).
