PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?

But can you maybe press edit on your post, go to full editor and add [AUS] at the beginning of the title? Helps people see it is (or isn't) for their region.

Meh, 7770 isn't very good. Nice price though!

It sure as hell is better than an integrated gpu and can play most games out there with playable framerates. Its better than my old 9400 gt, that's for sure :D

Sure is. People are just used to high-end GPUs so they think everything below it isn't good.

 

This could be a good GPU for a secondary gaming machine, or for a machine that games lightly.

+1 for this, I use a 7790 in my second rig for when I am back at my parents house... the card has no issue with most games on medium/low settings, and personally I think it is perfect for mainstream games such as LoL/Dota2.

The 7790 is all i could afford for my gpu and it has served me well the last 2 years and still does ok!

a card like that would also be perfect for playing source games too, and combining with older 775 or Phenom Based builds on a budget as well. Just because it cant do 1440P 60fps at max on crysis or something doesn't mean it's junk :3.
