Controller for pc

Go to solution Solved by SkywardKkalox,

Get a WIRED 360 controller, or a wireless with a wireless dongle.

You will just need the drivers for the wired one, and it's as close as plug and play it can go.

So I'll be playing most games with keyboard and mouse but I was sponsored by a controller company while I was on console and can get 1 free controller 360 xboxone or ps4. So what would be best for PC I just want to plug and play don't want to have to download stuff that gets controller working so ps4 might be out of the question or do all controllers require some sort of download ?

Pretty sure PS4 you need to either download some drivers or it works outside of the box and with a wired Xbox 360 controller it just downloads drivers on its own and you can play.

Not sure about Xbox One controller.

I would recommend a 360 controller

Any of the above work fine as far as I know, so you should choose first based on which controller you personally prefer.

From my experience I can say the Xbox One controller needs one tiny driver download, then it seems to work perfectly forevermore. I've heard the PS4 controller works fine as well, I just have no experience with it.

Well, I own a X360 controller and it's plug and play, so that's confirmed. Just go for the Xbox controllers, they have native support.

I just recommend a X360 wired one.

You go with what you want, which is what you did. For PS4, which I would prefer for its symmetrical design, there's some software yiu can download to configure it to your liking, and should work from then on without any hassle. You can even configure the lighting on the back of the thing, which is neat.

I bought one of these a while ago on sale at the store I work at...

Not bad considering the less than $30 I spent on it, feels a little cheap, but it is lol. Having said that, it hasn't failed me yet.
