Why would you buy a game you've already completed, just to benchmark with it? There's plenty of alternative programs, and even games that will allow you to benchmark your system. besides, Crysis 3 is so last year for benchmarks. It's all about The Witcher 3, Grand Theft Auto V, and Metro: Last Light now.

No, because Crysis 3, although way ahead on graphics, is mostly irrelevant now

Or use the 3dmark demo... just sayin.

i have 3d mark! and btw is aida64 worth getting? how much is it?

But.... it looks amazing.... D:

I remember running it at like 30fps with my i5 4440 and r9290x LOL

Well, what I'm saying is, nobody is looking for crysis 3 benchmarks because nobody plays it anymore, eliminating the ability to draw comparisons.

EDIT: AIDA64 is extremely handy for CPU tests if you need it.

Yet people still use Tomb Raider and B4 as benchmarks even though it came out around the same time as Crysis 3.

Tomb Raider is an anomaly where it isn't just a typical: good graphics card = better performance. Crysis 3 doesn't offer a substantial difference from other benchmarking methods, making it somewhat unnecessary to bench in the first place.

+ Tomb Raider isn't that old...

It was released on last gen consoles and pc a month after Crysis 3 came out. And I still don't see how it is better benchmark than Crysis 3, especially since it is less demanding and an "anomaly" as you say, since the results would not have a pattern.

It's a decent benchmark game but that the same time, any modern triple-A title is a benchmark these days.

Hell, I don't even play triple-A titles for gameplay, I just test it and move on. A lot of the titles aren't even that good to begin with to me, so yeah.

Just to rant on the subject of benchmarking on games, I hate the fact that games like Witcher 3 take so damn long to actually get into the gameplay. Even Far Cry 4 makes you wait like 20 minutes till you can actually play the damn game... It pisses me off when I'm trying to test a games performance.

Wonder if thats a case of console gaming (borrowed from friend / sold after playing), or a case of piracy.

Anyway, dont use Crysis 3 for benchmarking.

Used my brother's account to play!

Alright thanks!
