How can I make a Windows 7 bootable USB?

Zentorno56

Can one of you guys link me a video or tell me how to make a Windows 7 bootable USB? Thanks!

Download the iso and extract it to a flash drive. Done. Do you want Pro, Ultimate, Home Premium? Etc?

Here's all of them: http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/

i like to use rufus since it's way faster than the microsoft version

https://rufus.akeo.ie/

just put the iso and rufus does everything for you, you can change a few settings.

iso can be found in www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap on the right side

You can also just extract the iso to the flash drive which is even faster and does exactly what the software does :P

Did you realize that all of those are dead links?  There currently exists no official links to download an iso for anything older than windows 8. (can still find links, but NONE are direct microsoft and thus could have anything installed. better not to use them).

GetIntoPC also has them available (where I get my ISOs). I did not test those links beforehand, sorry.

bruh, do you have actual product keys for these? Can't throw around ISOs willy nilly if I'm concerned about piracy.

That said you can also find Windows 8.1 ISOs on GetIntoPC.

No need to be sorry. Also, that site may or may not be using the official iso for download. It could just as easily have  junkware, spyware, or malware in it. The only way to know for sure is to check every line of code against the officials, which would take a long time.

No, not at the moment. I'm a noob. I'm about to.

OK, just to let you know you can't install Windows 8.1 without a product key. You can do what I do (don't know if this is technically legal but I'll explain) is use a product key for 8.1 from the interwebs to install it to make sure there's no issues with hardware compatibility (and luckily for me my motherboard hates Windows 8 :/) so that I don't have to go through the de-activation process if I decide the OS isn't for me. With Windows 7 you can install it without a product key but need to have one after 30 days which I like a lot more as product keys can take awhile to get in the mail.
