That is such a ripoff. I'm sorry but anyone who buys this is horribly misinformed or just a pure idiot. My build cost $600 less than this and is 4-5 times more powerful.

Do people really buy these things? Might as well just throw money down the garbage disposal, which is equivalent to buying this.

"The New Razer Blade pro is designed for play...engineered for work! This is by far one of the best built machines on the market but as we all know, this $2,999 package would have to deliver a whole lot more to justify it's worth. Here's where we got into trouble..."

[snip]

IMO this is beyond a joke, I really don't know who the target is for such a device?

I understand that the touchscreen/touchpad adds compromises to the design, but from watching the video its the biggest gimmick I've ever seen.

Not even Chroma :D

1:34 Display

2:35 Power pack - With free coil whine!

3:18 Ports

5:08 Touchscreen/touchpad

7:44 Temperatures + Gaming Performance

Although I really like Razer's Blade, I have to say, it is one of the worst laptop configuration that I have ever seen. The Blade 14 has way for power than the Blade Pro, it would have made way more sense for them to put the screen that the Blade 14 has and up the GPU to a GTX 980M, I suspect it may be due to thermal design of the laptop that doesn't allow them to do so.

This makes me look like a total twat for buying a Blade :P But at least mines pretty good, or at least Id say, 870M aint a slacker for most games that I play, and dat resolution still makes me smile even after having it for a full year.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy this laptop. I was looking over getting a thin gaming machine and Razer is way overpriced when compared to other brands. MSI and ASUS have better products and cheaper with more features and expandability. The MSI GS70 Stealth Pro is a much better deal.

At least Apple usually has battery life to show for it, this thing won't.

while i agree the configuration is pretty daft.

i personally think its just razer trying to recuperate whatever money they put into R&D for the switchblade UI.

dont get me wrong, this is a underwhelming laptop for that price, but they're not overcharging it like what alien ware used to. at least not imo and not with a product like the BLade 14
