980Ti Crash [ Update BSoD HELP(#ノ゚∀゚)ノ !]

Yakusoku

I've read all over the internet that the 980Ti has a Driver issue as of now. As for my experience FF14 Heavensward crashes in Windowed full screen (Monitor used 144hz Gsync 1440p) and so does my browser (Firefox) at time.

So is it really a driver issue and not the card it self? Or could it be the game and or browsers problem?

Thanks!

Maybe you can upgrade to BETA version? Or maybe downgrade?

You can also do stress test to make sure your GPU is working.

Which driver version? Nvidia release a hotfix on their website 353.12 that is supposed to alleviate the issue. Try that if you don't have it.

Ok installed it hopefuly it fixes the issue.

One question though having Fullscreen vs a Fullscreen Windowed really reduces FPS. Not buy much bit at least 5-10?

Yeah I'm not sure what else would be causing that. The hotfix fixed my Witcher 3 crashes but I haven't experienced any stability issues with browsers or other games.

Edit: did you do a clean install of drivers?

Download DDU (display driver uninstaller) then perform a clean install. Try that.

If i get another repeat crash I'll try to get the screen of that message. I did read it say "Driver (Number here) stopped/is not working.... is now fixed."

Do you have to uninstall GeforceExperience too?

You don't have to, but for a clean experience I would do everything from scratch.

Just uninstall the display driver and go from there. Using DDU of course. Just do that and follow the instructions on the software or the website before doing so. http://www.wagnardmobile.com/

Sorries for double Post.

I have ran 3x benchmark and 8-15 Loops. Not a single crash.

Does this make it that the problem is Isolated to one game (FF14) or not?

Had the same problem with a client of mine, for some reason moving the card to another PCI-E 16x slot solved the problem.
