Hey guys so my 2nd Razer Imperator just died 1 month ago after about 1 1/2 years as the previous one, so i am using a microsoft mouse at the moment. Now i am looking into buying a new mouse. The only reason why i bought a 2nd Razer mouse was, because it realy fit in my hands perfectly, so I dont risk having to RMA it cuz it just doesnt fit. My brother has the logitech g502 proteus core, it also feels great, but it looks ulgy as heck and it would be kinda boring if i would be getting the same one. So I had a look at the roccat Kone XTD and it seems to have a similar shape as the Razer Imperator, I know that it has a price premium, but it also has colour customization, so it would fit perfectly to my Steeleries Apex. What do you guys think, do you have any suggestions?

thats the mouse i am looking at: http://www.amazon.de/Roccat-Kone-Customization-Gaming-schwarz/dp/B009DYOPK0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434739174&sr=8-1&keywords=roccat+kone or maybe i am gonna get the normal kone pure

@tmcclelland455, @Minibois.

@YOLOGUY. Welcome to the clan of Microsoft mice, brother.

EDIT: To answer your question, Roccat is quite respected in the peripheral market, so I think it should be fine!

Maybe the Corsair M65 RGB is your thing. It has color customization, it has a similar size, but it is laser.

I have the g402 ,and its feel is phenominal. For the price ...there is nothing to beat it! and the sensor is amazing(i play planetside 2, tested on crysis 3 as well). you can get a feel for the sensor from your bro's 502. if you dont want to go for the 502,and dont need the weights, go for the 402....you wont regret it!

i never noticed anythng on my previous mice with a laser

Maybe your not a competitive person. I don't know. But here's a list of mice with good sensors. There's a few new mice missing such as the Zowie ZA series which also have good sensors. Pretty much if the mouse isn't on that list they have accel/prediction. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZzbKDmFOqsP_ut2RdctD01OEbZzbXol6HLwqVkSmZcg/edit#gid=0

I dont have a problems with the microsoft mice, they are goo for playing too and such, they are just too small for a longer use so it starts feeling like crap after playing for a while

Stop! dont get the kone... I have a feeling you are the same as me, I love my Razer mouse because it fits my grip perfectly. I bought that mouse first and it was terrible, no grip at all and slid out my hand very easily.

Sorry, the roccat kone pure optical... its got a terrible finish that offers no grip.

 Your hands must be very dry, to not like the finish.  I actually love it. My hand's get sweaty when I'm gaming and it become's  very grippy. They actually designed it this way.

Well Im jsut letting you know .Go and try a mouse at a store then. Thats the only way your going to get one you like. Or just go with razer again since you said you liked the feel of those.

to tell you the truth it really depends on what you really are gonna use it for. different genres prefer different mice. for example counter strike prefers optical, no gimmicks, fast twitchy mice. league of legends however prefers comfortable mice that feel substantial in your hand. mobas and other things like RTSs prefer buttons with lots of buttons. if u play all of those games i can only make a few recommendations like the g502, roccat tyon, deathadder chroma, or something like the taipan.
