Can't tell if my monitor is 144 hz or 60 hz

I am trying to see if my monitor is 144hz or 60hz because i want to get a display port or dual link dvi so i can have 144hz for gaming. This is my computer http://pcpartpicker.com/user/stevoisboss/saved/ .  I have my graphics card hooked up to my monitor with a DVI cable and I heard that doesn't support 144hz unless if its dual link. So it wouldn't show 144hz when i right clicked on desktop >  Resolution > Advance settings > Monitor and checked. I checked Asus' website here https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/VS239HP/specifications/  and couldn't find anything. Plz help. Much thanks in advance

It isn't.

But what you could try too is go into a not so demanding game, turn the settings down to low across the board and turn on VSync and see if you get over 60 or 75 fps.

It will be 60/75hz. If you really want to check anyways, go to your wallpaper and right click. After that, click on "screen resolution". Go to advanced settings, and go to the monitor tab. Then you should see what it is going at.

The thing that gives it away is in the description of the monitor. IPS - Yes so it is 60 hz which is given away by the price for an IPS monitor, when I checked for 75-85hz the prices were over $300 so it is 60hz.
