970 in SLI with 980 performance?

Hey all,
wondering if anyone has used these graphics cards in SLI and what performance would be like?

I have 970s in SLI and they destroy a single 980 by quite a lot it can be up to 70-80% more performance

They are, but he asked about the 980, not the Ti the regular 980 falls behind

Two 970s beat the Titan X... I had two recently but sold them. They ran most games in 4K High settings apart from the Witcher 3.

But lets also not forget that if DX12 is what they saying its going to be than the SLi route will really be something epic, I spec'd my build around going SLI 970.. now just to make it happen.

That may be true but comparing to a 980ti gives a better idea of the performance considering they're so close.
