CPU Holder Thingy

Go to solution Solved by ericlee30,

It looked something like that, but opaque green with padding already in it

This is what you are looking for, but honestly I think the only way to get them is if you work for AMD or you buy a OEM version of a AMD CPU, the only other way I see getting your hands on one would be to see if anyone on E-Bay is selling any.

I personally could not find any.

The proper name for the cases are CPU carrier

Hi guys, I was searching online for a cpu holder, not a case holder one but the one Linus sometimes shows us processors in, little square padded box, what is the proper name for it?

Hèhè thank you :3

But I'd really like to know the actual name of it, because if I search CPU-Box/CPU-Case/CPU-Holder I get case holders

Sorry, I can't find it, from what I remember it was a little green box, bit bigger than the CPU with foam padding on the inside

If you got some foam padding, I think this will work.

Your welcome bro :) I hope you can find one, they are pretty cool especially if you have some CPU's lying around that you want to protect.

And if I can't I'll just use the sd-card one with foam

The SD-Card ones look like they come in a pack of 20 or so as well :) correction LOl you get 1000 of them for $12 it looks like. I could be wrong but that is what it looks like to me, but don't quote me on that.

Still don't get it why people want to store their CPU in a case that is twice the size or twice the cost of the little plastic container it came in when they bought it? There was no foam or special latch on that piece of plastic, just a piece of plastic and that was when it was new, now used you need a special case?

The original plastic thingy also let you view it.
