no, people are saying that it's bad and dead

Use it bro, and lower your overclock a little since Mantle tend to stress your card to the limit.

Okay i been playing few maps 64 player, now on map called Operation locker i get 55-60 FPS (Vsync on) and now a MAP Siege Of Shanghai i get shitty 30-37 FPS (Vsync on)

Specs: MSI R9 280X (Clocked 1170, but i will push it more), I3 4150, 8 GB of RAM.

I would like to have at least 45 FPS

My drivers Version: 9.14.10.01080, Catalyst 14.1

EDIT: Game settings: High

Doesnt seem right.. what settings are you using? turn your settings down, should easily be getting 60fps

Try turning Vsync off. With it on, I get 60 FPS but fluctuates down to like 30. With it off, I get Avg 90 fps fluctuating +/- 20fps

Turn off AA? turn down post processing to low and stuff - even on my 780ti I have a few settings on low/medium to get a smooth 60fps at 1440p - I have textures on HIGH, AA at 2x and everything on LOW (Mesh on ULTRA)

Hmmm, shouldn't be fluctuating that much.

Try changing the settings to medium or low, with V-syn off and anti-aliasing off, and see if it still fluctuates that much. Shouldn't be any bottlenecks with your specs though, temps good?

I think Siege Of Shanghai still has a few problems to do with performance.

Turn your settings down.  BF4 is extremely CPU heavy, and having a dual core w/ HT isn't helping.  Source: I get the same problems with my laptop.

BF4 runs like utter crap if you use Windows 7. That's just how it is, it needs so many CPU resources (especially on some specific maps and in 64 player servers) that it just craps itself on anything lower than a 6-core i7. With windows 8.1 it runs a bit better due to DirectX 11.1 and because 8.1 is a bit more lightweight.

Try to reduce mesh and effects quality to low, that should help a bit.

Mantle works just fine, it really helps for my setup and should be ideal for you with a fairly weak CPU.

There is post processing AA (which you should turn off because it looks terrible), MSAA (which takes a huge amount of performance, 2x maximum, I wouldn't go any higher) and then you can also turn up the rendering resolution up to 200% (which is effectively 4xSSAA).
