So my cousin and I wanna get a 4k TV for YouTube, movies, ect. Ect...

What Kindda PC would we need To do this? I have no idea where to start or how much it would cost. Would it be possible to do this with a $450 budget with a keyboard/mouse. The mouse and keyboard is a $27 combo so about $425. I'll get the OS of like G2A or reddit.

That's what I though.., I didn't think it took much to watch a video in 4k. We are upgrading our internet to 35down 5 up. ( 3 down .6 up at, xD.) but we'd get the PC first then the tv at a later date.

oh yeah sure, because he can TOTALLY fit an i5 4690k in that budget, and because the HD4600 graphics are TOTALLY better than 5100 iris, right?

well first of all you need to have a pretty fast internet connection (over 25mbps) to prevent buffering, then you need a CPU or GPU able to decode 4k video streams on the fly, then you need to be capable of outputting 4k to a screen

it should be possible if you cheap out on parts like PSU, case, storage, etc.. and buy a decent CPU or GPU

well that would be close to half your budget but if you can build the rest of the PC then it will work

but youre going to get 4k @ 30hz only

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/b8kk3C Something like this? It will be used for VERY light gaming like Sims 4 at 1080p but 90% of the time movies and ect.

yeah that would work

no guarantee on smooth 4k playback though

ive seen people with 970s have issues with 4k on their browsers

it's really just gotta be 30fps Max. Or "24 FPS For that cinematic feel" lol

yeah but 4k support is still relatively new so some hardware-software combos dont work too great

i dont use 4k though so I cant really give you benchmarks, but your build should be good enough
