HD558 ...

If you don't want the HD 558 , get the HyperX Cloud ...

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...

Clouds are a rebranded headset with a mod mic more or less. I would get them for the price anything higher in price (50 usd) look for real headsets and add a mic or get a blue snowball mic.

I recently picked up the Cloud II headset and have really liked them. I have a Blue Snowball mic, but hate having to position it, and have had bad driver issues with it with Windows 8.1.

Using the headset that connects via USB for sound and mic is quick and just works.

Headphones + separate mic would be the best option. Something like Sennheiser HD518 or Superlux HD681 EVO wouldn't break the bank while offering superb sound quality. If Antlion Mod Mic is too expensive, then the trusty Zalman ZM-MIC1 is an excellent cheap alternative. One of the best things about going this route is that if one of the components fails, the other still works!

If you want the convenience of a headset, then it doesn't get much better than the HyperX Cloud. Good quality for good price, something that is very rare with headsets.
