Which RAM choice?

if you are only gaming 1600mhz vs 2400mhz wont make a difference and you probably wont use 16GB and 8GB is enough in most cases

TBH Ram does not matter that much, Well not as much as CPU and GPU

You wouldn't even notice the difference in performance. (1600 vs 2400)

and for gaming 8GB is enough.

 

Conclusion : get any 8GB 1600mhz you like. be it 1x8GB stick or 2x4GB sticks.

OC'ing my RAM to 2000mhz from 1600mhz did actually stop stuttering issues in GTA 5, so it does make a difference in some titles.

Dual channel at max. can give you a 5% performance increase depending on what you are doing.  As for what quad channel can do I don't know.  Still most people will advise to just get whatever ram is cheapest or whatever ram you like the best in terms of looks as it hardly matters what you buy these days.
