Why do you think thats dodgy and I know what im going to do I am just going to get a power adapter and the led's and a

Generic 12A 12V IR Remote Control Controller 44 Keys Brightness Adjust for LED Strip and put it together and just get to coils of the led's. Or just use the connect and feed the cables through the back.

hard to get at what your asking. you mean you want to know if you can run those also in your pc? its super easy, as they run off 12 volt, same as a molex connector.

I'm lost about what you mean by battery splitter, you can daisy chain LED strips together and power the whole roll with that setup.
