New Builder, Rig Sugestions

Hi guys,

 

I'm new to building to computers and I was looking to spend $1000-$1500 on a rig.

Any suggestions, looking mainly for a quality gaming rig. Maybe some light video editing.

Peripheral suggestions as well.

Are you going all out on the peripherals? Like monitor, keyboard, mouse, mouse mat etc;?
