So at the moment I have a single 250gb SSD (50gb left) this was due to budget constraints on the build!!

So I have enough money to buy the next bit of storage!! what should it be??

I can either get another 250gb  SSD(M.2) or I could buy a 1tb hard drive.

The SSD could fit everything I need on there and have 150 gb left over!!

so should I get a HDD or and SSD??

thanks in advance

depends on what you want to keep on it. if you plan to keep movies, pictures and random things a hard drive would make more sense and is cheaper, but if you want to install programs or games get the SSD, but I have about half my games on a hard drive, sometimes I don't even know if they are on the Hard Drive or the SSD

HDD because 1TB is a lot

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Hard drive.  Only keep frequently used programs on the SSD, and everything else on the hard drive.  Some games that have few loading screens can also be put onto the hard drive without much of a noticeable difference.  The SSD makes the most difference with the OS and certain games with many loading screens, so you shouldn't have any problems with a single 250gb ssd if you properly manage it.

Why don't you have an HDD in the system already? Usually people get an HDD first, unless you are not telling us something get the HDD.

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

No I don,t have one because I would have had to skimp on something else so I just got an SSD because that is what I wanted my OS on!!
