I want to know if getting the best processor with impressive single core performance is the right way to go cause I play FPS and MMORPG's, like CS GO, Blade & Soul and many more RTS titles; and maybe just go for a GTX 960 or 970, probably be gaming at 1080p 60Hz for now, but planning to switch to 1440p 120Hz/144Hz :D Thanks for any feedback

-snip-

I would still recommend a quad core CPU. Or Dual core with Hyperhtreading if you can't afford that.

Pretty much all Intel CPU's have great single core performance/

What kind of budget do you have?

Still stacking my bucks, but I would say I'd be building a $2,000 PC xD

You would be looking at something at an i5 4690K probably.

Maybe even something like an i7 4790K if you need the threads (but you probably dont if you only game).

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
