I highly suggest the NZXT Hue if you want different colors, or a change from time to time. Youtube it, its honestly very cheap for what you get, and looks amazing.

If you're ok with some soldering I think Modeler's Brand LED tape is meant to be good, or at least that is what this thread post has said.

Definitely BitFenix Alchemy. I know they are expensive but they are really worth it.

I will probably buy Phobya high density. I will not pay 3x more for Bitfenix.

The Alchemy lights are the best for quality and easy installation, but I'd personally get the NZXT hue for the change in color!

look on rc sites, led strips tend to be pretty cheap, and you can get whatever length you need.

Will work for electronic components and parts

Its nice to have the option, you might want to change your mind in the future, it also has a lot of cool modes like Breathing Mode.

If no one else has already mentioned, have a look on dx.com. they have heaps of different cheap led strips. single colours and rgb too. I got the bitfenix alchemy in white (single 30cm) but realised I needed more light than it provided, so I've now got 2 15cm strips off of dx which seem to work at least as well, but for a fifth of the price
