Need something to play

Alright, so I just finished my school year, and I want a game to get hooked on.

I'd prefer it be something more modern with either a fun story mode of massive multiplayer.

I have never tried much in terms of RPG or FPS games, and I wouldn't mind trying some!

Try Shadow of Mordor.

 

It's not multiplayer but I enjoyed it. It's a good PC port.

Mass Effect Trilogy was amazing. Although I have yet to finish 2 and start 3. Mass Effect 1 was AWESOME.

Skyrim is always a good deal during steam sales if you haven't checked that out yet. The summer sale should be coming here soon.

i have been having tons of fun with brutal doom, old school but, all the things i like with no filler;it may be because i have never beaten it. 

Ziggurat for a quick maze shooter. modern.

arma 3. modern ish, runs like crap. looks great at times. fun with friends. 

modded skyrim, really i might have 20 hours in just modding the game and looking for good mods. when i saw witcher 3, i just wanted to play again

total war: any of the games, plenty of mods. grand strategy, look at videos if you have never seen it<<< so many  hours. 500+ in 3 of their games. 

kerbal space progam. great fun at all ages, easy to get to the moon. another planet not bad, to what have I gotten myself into.

Skyrim and all the witcher games have loved both of them had 200+ hr on the Xbox and 40hours on the pic with mods. Witches is just really good for the story hasn't played the first 2 but have brought the 3 pack witch comes with all 3 of them and the doc for witches 3. Playing through Witcher 3 now and am really enjoying it.

GOG is having a sale on the Witcher series. So, for an RPG, you can pick up either Witcher 1 or 2 for less than $4. At that price, if you don't like, it won't bother you as much. For FPS, you could try the Half Life games. They will definitely be super cheap during the Steam sale next week.

 

If you like free games and don't mind multiplayer, then go play Team Fortress 2. It's so fun.
