hacked, raid, question, idea, will it work?

hi im new, yes dumb title... the question might be dumb (so it is fitting)

a friend of mine showed how easy it is to hack my current system, and he copied the entire hdd in  30 minutes (fast internet)

and also copied externals like usb drives with encrypted data, he had those open in 2-3 minutes.

so, my idea is to use a raid config as a security measure, totally non related to hacking but meh, i get ideas on weird moments.

- what i got from a guy on yt was that i can put usb drives in raid, which spreads the data between the drives and only shows up when all drives are connected.

- i want to outplay my friend so he can't read the data on the usb drive no matter what, so i thought, put 2 in raid 0, put data on it, remove 1 of the 2 sticks.

- will this work?

You will need to encrypt your data, but wait for someone with knowledto to answer.

There are some good rules to prevent urself from being hacked:

- configure firewall, close ports u don't need

- close ur pc from local net

- don't launch any sh*t, if u don't know what it is

No, making a raid array won't save u from losing data, because he will treat your raid array as a single hdd.

but it would work right? it is just to make him scratch his head about there being a usb drive in the system and he cant access it remotely. (after that i need to convince my parents to remove the computers from the remote -.-'... thats how my friend turns on my system)

Erm, if your going to remove one of the USB sticks why not just use one and remove it? Seems like a very long way to get around a simple problem.
