Do you have an ssd? Because it sounds like you're just waiting on HDD access times.

How many tabs are opening at the same time?

 

If you have chrome on the ssd and are only opening a couple or single tab.. There is some kind of issue.. i would suggest that you re-install chrome.

 

If your loading up loads of pages.. then yea.. it'll take a few seconds.

Try and find chromes files on the ssd, if you can't find them, they're probably on your HDD.
