I do not know if it's HP or just my tablet. I have the HP Stream 7 with Windows 8.1 with Bing. KB3035583  is not in my optional, or important update list. How will I be able to get this update, because I want to reserve Windows 10. My other laptop with a pirated copy of windows 8.1 got the update, but my tablet with real Windows didn't.

Dont worry about it right now, give it a couple weeks and im sure you will get the update, the free upgrade is going to be available for a year, no need to rush.

You do not have to reserve it to get the upgrade so don't worry. Some users are reporting that restarting the computer will prompt the message but some say it doesn't work.

Oh ok, see if I dont reserve I can still upgrade, like MS did with the windows 8.1 update through the MS Store. And my second question was why the update KB3035583  is not showing up on my windows update and my installed updates, because when I search for it it's not there :(

Automatically download & install it when available. That's literally it.

No it hasn't launched, yet I am trying to get the reservation so I can get Windows 10 when it launches....... NEXT month

Is KB2919355 (Windows 8.1 Update 1) installed? That's a prerequisite of this update. Unofrtunately, MS had not provided a standalone installer for KB305583, so you'll just have to wait. It's a recommended update on 8.1, so you should get it automatically with the default settings.

Yes KB2919355 is installed i searched it up on the installed Windows Update and it is there.

It just popped randomly this morning, wut fix what i need fix for ? :D

it was a fix so that with all of the updates installed you can manually force start the GWX.exe and the icon will pop up
