Hi everyone i am new in the PC master race and after a long time searching for the best PC i could have i wanted your opinions about it and how you would improve it:

The PC:

MotherBoard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger

CPU: Intel Core I5 4690k

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 240m

GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 970 gaming 4gb SLI

Ram: G.Skill RipJaws X Series 8 Go (2 x 4 Go) DDR3 2133 MHz CL9

SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K 120gb

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2tb

PSU: Cooler Master g750m

The Accessories:

Monitor: LG24gm77

Speakers: Logitech Z313

Keyboard: Corsair K70 Red leds cherry mx Brown

Mouse: Asus Rog Gladius

Mouse Mat: Asus GM50

Headset: Kingston HyperX Cloud II

Controller: XBOX One wired

CPL (don't know how to say it in english): TP-Link 4025PKIT

That's it I want to buy this during summer and i'm wondering how good/bad is it so i would like your thoughts on all these.

I'm torn for:

Case: is the airflow on that case good?

AIO :Will that AIO be good for extreme overclocking?

Monitor: Is it good?

Keyboard: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/377346-logitech-g13-joystick/

Mouse mat: GM50 or QCK?

PS: I'm buying it in France it's 2400€ so i think it's around 2650$ but as i buy it without taxes it will be 2000€ which is 2200$

the budget goes like this:

PC : 1700€ = 1870$

Monitor + Speakers : 290€ = 320$

Keyboard + Mouse + Mouse Mat + Headset + Controller + CPL = 420€ = 460$

What would you do for those prices?

Thanks for upcoming help + sorry for bad english i'm french

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Qj9yrHFor the PC. I'd get a Ducky Shine keyboard. For a monitor you could probably do better for the price. For an AIO.. Extreme overclocking is not needed. I personally just like air coolers. Don't SLI 970s... You could just get a 980. Never heard of the mouse so I can't say anything. airflow in the case I picked is also very good.

I don't need an operating system

SLI 970 > 980

980 just have 0.5 more gb of vram and with directx 12 gtx 970 sli will have 7gb of vram

Wich monitor do you recommend?

Wich aio? (i don't like the looks of air coolers

For the case i prefer s340's design but if it's a bad case then...

For the keyboard i want red backlighting (the theme of my setup being red)

And i think i'll be overclocking

Dual 970's because it has more performance than the 980. Also much better if you're playing at higher resolutions (this build can play at 1440p)

I like air coolers because it's easier to maintain and much quieter than AIO's

Although it is a bit beefy so pick your poison

If you're looking for an AIO go for the X61 or the H110GT (I think that's what it's called)

windows can be bought for cheaper here (legal versions aint nobody a pirate) www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap

For the keyboard, it's mainly personal preference. In my opinion, I would go for the k70 RGB but there's a lot more keyboards out there. Just gotta look

Ask @STRMfrmXMN for stuff about peripherals. He's a god :P

Why msi gaming 5 over asus maximus vii ranger?

Not sure why somebody would recommend MSI over Asus, but personally I vote Asus.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Should i consider g-sync instead of a mechanical keyboard?

I think with I5 4690k + 970 sli overclocked i should get 100+ framerates so what do you think?

Depend on the monitor. Personally, I would go for GSync at 4K. If it's a choice between 1440p 144Hz GSync or a Mechanical Keyboard, then I'd go for GSync now, then buy a new keyboard down the line.

I just realized that even if i let the mechanical keyboard the g-sync monitor is too expensive so...yeah i think i'll stick to the lg 24GM77

The build you are giving me is 100€ more than the one i posted so.....

the reason it costs more because

1. i gave you 16gb of ram. gives you head room for new games

2. 500 gb ssd. that's all you need tbh

3. the psu i gave you is very good. it has a hybrid fan mode where it is super super quiet and only goes on whenever it's on load (which is almost never) and it is gold certified

Drop 970 sli for a 980ti. Similar price and much better out of the box performance. It's a freaking 97% titan x at 60% of the price.

3. Ok

1. seeing that witcher 3's minimum system requirement is 6 gigs and recommended is 8 gigs (to run it normally), yes you will need it very soon

2. it would be much better to put some games into the ssd. games with long loading times like gta, battlefield, and sometimes gmod will benefit.

since the 980ti just came out and has a better performance for the same price as dual 970's i would get that.

Ok

But i think 970 sli > 980 ti

in performance (benchmarks) 970 sli > 980 ti

Vram will be 7gb with directx 12 also

And price difference is just 20€

I don't need a headset anymore (was given one) so that 100$ could go somewhere else

I really like the H440's look but do you think that it's cooling is good?

Because sli run quite hot and i heard that the h440's airflow is lacking.

I could add a cooler master sickleflow at the top (with the cm nepton 240m mounted at the back)
