well those are the wrong helmets to use for that anyway. I survived a snowmobile accident because I wore a helmet.

And I survived a skiing accident thanks to a helmet.  They really are worth the investment.

I was going 150mph and my right ski caught a fence-line wire that was hidden. The sled stopped instantly and flipped and rolled, I landed on my head in the snow. It supported my neck which allowed me to walk home and go to school later.

I was going fast down a hill (it scares my family how fast I go) and caught an edge in some ungroomed snow.  Face smashed into an ice patch and slid about 10 feet, but had a helmet with a built in visor.  Saved my face, skied away from it with minor whiplash.
