Posted May 23, 2015 a 100% fan speed it get to over 90ºC any way Thats because Prime 95 pulls so much power from the chip, that you are sure to do long term damage. Just please for the love of gaben stop using Prime 95. No chip should ever go higher than 80. Build log : Leviathan PC My contributions to F@H! 1. Posted May 23, 2015 AIDA64 is better to test overclock stabily also? AIDA Tells you right away if its unstable. It stops the test and doesn't over volt the chip or over heat. It will also tell you if you are thermal throttling. Build log : Leviathan PC My contributions to F@H! 1. Macbook Air 2012 (3 years of use) | 2. iPhone 6 Plus (7 Months of use) | 3. No chip should ever go higher than 80. It has NOTHING to do with Prime95 being a bad test, it's just on Haswell, Prime95 ups the voltage of your CPU. Otherwise, it's the PERFECT stress test as it goes through every instruction set your CPU can perform and weeds out the most stable of builds. Outside of Haswell chips, if it doesn't pass a 24-hour Prime95 test it's not considered stable. QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION! I agree with this^^^ But I still feel comfortable using AIDA rather than prime 95, and for stable checkmarks on my system (4.5@1.35V) I have to pass 48 Hours, or else its unstable. Posted May 23, 2015 What all of these guys forgot to mention is that you should probably check the thermal paste/cooler installation. If you've screwed up the installation then chances are that it's ruining your results.Especially considering you mentioned no OC, which suggests you're running stock speeds.. And for me getting 1 error after 20h of testing is just not worth the time. You get same results with XTU and OCCT with 3-8h testing. I really hope I'm not going to be "that guy" for this but... How does intel burn test compare? Its nice for temp checking. But I wouldn't use it for stability testing. For me it was fine with OC and then same settings crashed within 10min with OCCT. ^^^^ That's my post ^^^^ <-- This is me --- That's your scrollbar --> vvvv Who's there? vvvv
 You get same results with XTU and OCCT with 3-8h testing. The reason why P95 is the gold standard for stability is cos it doesn't just do heat tests, it uses actual data to test stability. Your CPU may be stable doing certain sized data sets but not in others, and P95 goes through the whole list to ensure that 100% of the workload you throw at it in the future will be rock solid.
