So I have had graphic card....issues is probably be the best way to put it.  I got a R9 295x2 last Black Friday.  I have always more like the green side of things more than the red but I got a deal that I felt I couldn't pass up....let's just say my issues have scared away from the red forever.

So with all that in mind I want my R9 I would say out but it is currently non working part of my computer and only still in there as a link in my water cooling....but I want a replacement that isn't integrated graphics.  I have been looking alot at EVGA 980s but I have been letting the thought creep in lately, if you got a 970, you have the $$ you could go order it now!!

So should I be a good, patient geek and wait for the 980 money....or...?

I say the 980 and then get another down the road. 980 SLI ftw. Also EVGA is the best. EVGA fanboy here.

Wait for the 980.. or even the 980Ti (which based on the rumor mill trajectory is about to launch).  Pricing should change fairly rapidly in the upcoming month or so.

No leak just a struggle from the beginning....to not working recently and then I went to XFX to RMA and I was told it was my honor to pay for postage and then they may fix it....to which my response is....Nvidia I'm sorry I'm sorry...I can't believe I ever left...PLEASE take me back!

As for the Ti.....before the end of June soon?  And how would the prices change?

Ti is gonna be more expensive anyway, just get the 980! By that time the Ti will come out anyway if your saving money for it at least.

Youve had a bad experience with xfx and that caused you to hate amd? Im missing the logic here, do people that have issues with palit/gainward start hating ong nvidia as well?

K1ngp1n is a waste of money unless your taking part in a overclocking competition. Its price is simply to close to a Titan X which is still decently overclockable.

Since your looking at cards at the pricepoint of k1ngp1n why not consider gtx970 SLI? Has much more power then a gtx980 and doesnt cost more then a k1ngp1n 980 (in my country kingpin is 100 bucks more then the gtx 970 sli).

Desktop: Intel i9-10850K (R9 3900X died 😢 )| MSI Z490 Tomahawk | RTX 2080 (borrowed from work) - MSI GTX 1080 | 64GB 3600MHz CL16 memory | Corsair H100i (NF-F12 fans) | Samsung 970 EVO 512GB | Intel 665p 2TB | Samsung 830 256GB| 3TB HDD | Corsair 450D | Corsair RM550x | MG279Q

Laptop: Surface Pro 7 (i5, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD)

Console: PlayStation 4 Pro

Im running 2 980s in sli. And i can honestly say that i dont think ill need to change these cards for at least 3-4 years.

Performance is great. Run hot but im going to water cool them when ive saved up enough for a custom loop.

I mean these cards run everything maxed out without any major work. tried them on a friends 1440p monitor too and the same, Amazing performace.

(And this is someone who was with AMD for 6 years until recently)

In my opinion get a 980 (classified) save up for a second one. sli and watercool them and you will sit pretty for many happy years.

Cpu: I7 5930k @4.2Ghz, Mobo: Asus x99-S, Ram: 16gb Corsair Vengeance ddr4, Gpu: x2  Evga super-clocked GTX 980's in sli,

Case:  Nzxt H440 Razer Edition, Storage: 250gb samsung 850 & x2 WD black 2TB.

PSU: 1050w Seasonic X-series gold. Cooling: Nzxt Kraken x61.
