BX100 is the slowest of the bunch, but it's the most efficient and cheapest.

Samsung is the fastest of the bunch ( does not really affect you since your laptop probably has SATA2 anyway)

MX100 is just a good ssd.

Btw jupiter has no surface so having a road should be complicated.

Hello! I have an Asus X55C-DS31 Laptop.

500GB 5200~RPM

Intel i3 2370M 2.4GHz

Intel 3000 IGPU

4GB DDR3 RAM

1366x768 15.6 Display

I recently did a System Refresh to help performance. It did help. But the disk is ALWAYS at 100%. This (as you would expect decreases performance) the lag is really annoying. It is not a virus because I JUST did a system refresh about a week ago. Apparently Asus X-Series Laptop include junk HDDs. I am thinking about upgrading my HDD to a more reliable and faster one. Then I thought, "Couldn't I just get and SSD?" How much would a laptop SSD cost and could I fit it in my laptop? I would assume I would a USB to SSD converter to convert storage? Would it be worth the money? Would it be a noticeable improvement? My laptop is a 500GB and I don't need anything higher. Thank you, please ask questions if necessary.

My PC/ CPU: Intel i5-4690k with ColerMaster Hyper Evo 212 / Motherboard: Asus Z97-AR GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti / OS: Windows8.1 / RAM: G.Skill Ares Series 2x4 1600Mhz / Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM Optical Drive: ASUS 24B1ST / Network: TP-Link WN881ND /////////////////////////// If I fail to respond to your questions, please message me! I can't tell you how much it will cost because I don't know what currency Mars uses. But I can tell you that it will definitely fit and it is the best upgrade you can do to your pc.

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania, Europe, Earth, Solar System, Local Interstellar Cloud, Local Bubble, Gould Belt, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Milky Way subgroup, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea, Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex, Observable universe, Universe.

Spoiler

12700, B660M Mortar DDR4, 32GB 3200C16 Viper Steel, 2TB SN570, EVGA Supernova G6 850W, be quiet! 500FX, EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra.

They are called Galaxiens, but right now I am visiting Earth. I think this place is called Ammurikah. Its not Mars. Its Jupiter.

Ok thanks. That is a little expensive! I don't know why I was expecting lower. I guess when I get a little extra money I will buy it. And the Jupiter thing, I would explain it, but you humans won't understand. :P

Hey TheModMonster,

As @Vegarg suggested, you can check out WD Black2 drive. It combines a 120GB SSD drive with a 1TB HDD drive. Unlike SSHDs, this is actually a dual drive and the two separate portions of it are treated separately, meaning you can use the SSD as your boot partition and the HDD as a secondary or multiple secondary partitions independently all in the same 2.5" form factor. Here's a link with more info: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=RXnYJe

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^

You could go with something like this. http://www.amazon.com/Black2-Dual-Drive-2-5-WD1001X06XDTL/dp/B00GSJ9X4Q

It gives you 120GB of SSD storage for your operating system and other small applications and a larger 1TB drive for the bulk of your storage.
