Which SSD?

Hey guys!

 

My OS (Windows 8.1) now takes ages to boot up, so it needs an SSD to be up running nice and quick!

 

The SSD should:

- be reliable

- have lots of writing sequenzes before failing

- have 240GB

- be medium fast to boot up Windows in 20 sec.

- not be that expensive! (~100€)

 

Please post your suggestions!

Crucial BX100

Crucial BX100

I'd recommend an MX100 over the BX100. They basically just gimped the MX100 and decided to sell it at the same price point. Then added a couple features and decided to sell it for a lot more as the MX200. Stupid move on crucials part IMO.

 

The 850EVO is ~$5 more than the MX100, so it just makes more sense to get the EVO.

 

At least at those price points.

no, bx100 uses the newer flash. but yeah mx100 is good as well. Evo is 20 eur more expensive than BX100 or MX100. Only muricans get samsung love.

Samsung 850 Evo , any 850 works. Good reliable, cheap for the great speeds ect ect...

I have a MX100 and windows boots in around 10 Seconds. The 850 EVO Would have been a bit faster though and looking back, I probably would have gotten the EVO Given the option now, The MX100 is still a very good choice though
