Best GPU for Arma 3

My current system have i7 4770 (not the k version) with 16gb of ram (1600mhz) and Gtx 760

I'm currently getting 20 fps in town and 30 to 40 out of town at Standard setting wtih Object detail on mid.

I want to play on Ultra with 50 to 60fps in town

 

I'm thinking about $600 for the graphics card. 

 

using 1080p 144hz monitor

If you don't want to spend that much, and have a 600w+ PSU, get a 290x.

Arma is all cpu, so it's not gonna help you that much, game is horribly optimized..

With my 970, on servers I run around 20-30 fps, but in the editor around 60. However, Nvidia shield thinks its best to put all settings on super low and turn render distance up to full...

GTX 980 or wait to see what AMD has to offer with 390/x when it releases.

 

 

Goodluck on your mission to run ARMA 3. You can throw all the money you want at the game and you still wont get smooth gameplay. Still fun tho.

Arma is all cpu, so it's not gonna help you that much, game is horribly optimized..

Even with my system Arma still doesn't run too great, but i did notice if you go into the nvidia control panel and change the physx to GPU instead of auto it helps a bit

970 in SLI or a EVGA GTX 980 SuperClocked if you want to play like 1440p/4k in the future
