It was an easy way for me to shorten a name I first started suing during the days of Red Faction. Back when people still played it online and THQ hadn't auctioned off the master server URL and rights to a friend of mine, I was called ElementsModRF(Elements Modification Red Faction). After a few years I changed it to =EMRF=Ultor, and later changed it to plain EMRF for Xbox Live. Not the best story, but hey, it's a story!
