Card sag

I have a Gigabyte 980, which has card sag. It is known that it always does this due to the size so I would just like gather some of the communities opinions on how to fix this. I am just worried because it's already starting the show that it's beginning to sag.

there are braces you can buy and you can make an acrylic brace that comes from an adjacent pci case slot

It is really an aesthetic, and it is not like it will snap in half randomly. TBH there are not any un-ugly ways of fixing card sag as im assuming the card already has the gigabyte backplate, in which case im surprised it is sagging.

Yeah it's not terrible but if you look at the top it definitely sags. It also at a slight angle, like a ramp.

My pcie power cables going into my cards are anchored and hold the card in place. Try it.

I took the PCI cover from my case, snapped the end of that off and use that to support it... A little bit of plastic should work fine: 

 

 

EDIT: Guess that wouldn't work in an ATX case... Or any the doesn't have a shroud over the PSU...

That actually looks quite good, but does it only attach to one pcie screw, or does it overlap the rear io panel of the gpu?

One screw, it's just a PCI bracket with a bit of acrylic poking out

My strix 970 also has quite a bit of sag and it's bugging me

Found Puget's brace, they use 2 pci screws. Won't be able to use them due to 1 pci space between my sli configuration.

I just spent 10 minutes looking for this to post, I really should read the entire thread before posting things.

 

Personally I'm gonna go with Puget's option, they have some things I need anyways.

my strix has a backplate and still sags like a mofo. It's bending from where the PCB meets the io plate so backplates don't always helps Card sag
