Things I should buy for my birthday.

nsyedhasan

My birthday has passed a few days ago. And I want something cool for my present something really cool. I have a Pentium Pro on my list which is about 25CAD. So should I buy something else or should I stay with the Pentium Pro? I have only about a 30CAD budget.

P.S.: I am also going to get SteelSeries 7H Fnatic Edition headphones. You can also advise against that.

Please do a favor to yourself and dont waste 100$ on the 7h Fnatic. I would highly recommend going with the Sennheiser 518 or even better the Audio Technica AD700 or even better the Shure SRH440. I just cant tell you how much better they are from the 7h. If you are worried about the mic get an Audio Technica 2500 for 45$ on amazon right now. You cant go wrong with that price.

Hope it helped!

The only reason I actually wanted to get the 7H because Linus recommend it. I like SRH440 and the HD 518. What be the better choice between them? I really need the detachable cable. I've really bad luck with the connector just refusing to work. But I also need a mic. So would the ModMic be a good option or should I get a desktop mic? My budget for both is about a 120CAD max. I may be able to get a few dollars extra.

Linus himself has stop using the 7H and instead he now uses the HD 555 with a modmic. I would recommend getting the AD 700 because it is the best all around headphone. Yeah it looks ugly but it is like Noctua fans, ugly but pretty damn good. Also check out the AudiomTechnica M50.

Hope it helped!

I am going to be using the headphones away from my computer, so I need a good looking pair. And the M50's are out of my price range. So it's either the SRH440 or HD 518. And also what type of mic should I use?

When you are away from your computer will you need the microphone?

The SRH440 is your best option for mobility because they fold in a pretty nice way.

Here is a list of mics ranging from 9-33$. The only thing I can say is that the first link, the mod mic, has been tested by Linus on a 25min private stream that I was lucky to watch only for 3 mins. You can go to his twitch page, then past broadcasts and search for the archive. I think it was like a week or two ago.

Thanks that was really really helpful. But I think I will get a better mic later on because I will buy my peripherals before actually needing a mic. ( before buying my PC)

That's an excellent choice, better safe than sorry. Save up some money and get the Samson Meteor, If you want to check the quality,I know a livestreamer that uses it, his name on Twitch is Reckful. Check it out. Patience is the key. I am glad I could help!

Cheers, mate!
