tomshardware used to be decent, over the last few years it has literally gone to shit

I disagree, the article posted here was on tom's guide, not tom's hardware which I can agree is pitiful.

There's no typo. That's the "base" model price and correct specs there of. The top-end version of this machine is well over $7k and boats 3 Titan X's in SLI.

SSD's... None of them have SSD's...

Even the place that I bought my rig from had an SSD in their i7/GTX 650 rig alongside a 1TB HDD (they were both seagate drives though, so dirt cheap).

The best gaming desktop overal is the only one that isn't a total waste of money.

Alienware Alpha is a great Console replacement, NOT a good desktop.

The best high end gaming desktop is so s*** that the toilet wouldn't flush it trough.
