Razer Kraken Pro Vs HyperX Cloud, Which One Should You Get?

DarkBlade2117

Another great option for headsets in this price range are the refurbished Razer Blacksharks.

Do not buy them for the original price! But they are ok for 60$ and way better sounding than the Krakens (tried both).

(You are still better off getting used Sennheiser HD 518 plus a mic or something similar tough.)

Nice review

Surely you jest. <_<  The Black Shark is only for bassheads, I'd gotten one after reading a review here about how good it is. Yes, it looks great, but the sound.....OMG the sound! :o  I could hear very recessed mids and highs, bass trumps both......by a wide margin. Terrible, terrible pair of headset!  Fortunately for me, I'd gotten it quite cheap, bundled it with a Logitech Z623 and sold it off.

If you use it with Razer´s Surround Software it´s actually somewhat decent - I prefer it over the Krakens.

But to be fair, I usually play with my Sennheiser HD 598 and only use the Blackshark when it´s impossible to use an open headphone.
