I've never physically built a computer, but I've done a lot of research on parts and definitely know my way around a nice gaming PC. But most of what I build(or at least pick parts for) are intel based systems. I've decided to try an AMD build, as I know they have many great lower budget CPUs for gaming. But I've never really fiddled around with AMD components. I made a nice $800 which should run very well on almost any game and very high settings.

Let me know whether I should change anything or not. Never really made an AMD build but if you have info to help me I'd love to learn more!

amd build and nice shouldn't go in the same sentence

AMD GPUs are amazing and I love them (290X CF yay) but AMD cpus are just pointless at this point

Trying gaming on a A6-3560 Lol... It's a decent CPU as I get 150FPS in MC but the iGPU is holding me back. Can't wait until I move to Intel and nvidia. If I get this job I'll have the PC and everything in the setup in 5 months.

Stick with Intel. Intels dual cores, yes i said DUAL cores, are still better than AMD's EIGHT cores. In this industry, you get what you pay for. I would get the FX 8320 instead of the 6350. You get 2 more cores and a little better performance for only $30 bucks more. Then it'll fully complete your budget :)

You'd be better off with an older Intel Wolfdale Quad core over that FX 6350, clock for clock its a faster CPU by a lot and can match an i5 4440 at around 4.4/4.5GHz (proven with my benchmarking - Xeon X5450 vs i5 4440)

Lol didn't know there was so much negativity around AMD CPU-base builds... This isn't the build I plan on buying, the one I'm buying has an i5 4460, and an Nvidia card. Guess I won't make this mistake again hahaha.

I find the Price Jump in Intels Unlocked Processors quite annoying.  They should make a i3 4390K at $150 or some thing.

pentium G3258 - $70

its should go right here.   Maybe im  missing something idk

4690K $250

4790k - $350

Fact, anything after the Phenom II's and Athlons is a part of AMD's total fuck up with Bulldozer.

huh hem... not to be an ***hole like up there...

i would get this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128651

an obliviously a dual core would beat and 8 core that is 6+ years old in single threaded applications.

also the 6300 and 43xx beat the 8350, just like how lukes video showed us with his "how many cores do we need"

I just feel bad for AMD, because they try to be fist at everything, but since Intel owns the lions share of the market. Everyone doesn't advance to the new stuff. they just stay on there nice single threaded applications.

FX 8350/8320 at 5.3 GHz get rekt in single threaded tasks by an i5 4440 at 3.1GHz   and for gaming both of those CPU's can't be recommended in good conscience. Only tasks that require more threads benefit from them-and the normal PC user won't be using those programs.

Yeah I know... But better generally means overall "faster".

And peopel seem to think that the FX cpus have less computational power than an i3...

Maybe if its the FX 4350 and 6350, either way AMD took a backstep instead of releasing normal CPU's and improving on the CMT design before releasing it (there is no way in hell that AMD didn't know before hand how badly their CPU's performed).

Its all good. Dont let these intel fanbois tell you otherwise.

Except i suggest a 285 instead of a 280x.

Yes, its marginally weaker, BUT it supports freesync for your future monitor upgrade. Thats more important than life itself, if you are concerned of ENJOYING games, not just running them.
