Nice build, 4790k is a bit overkill if its just a gaming rig, but other than that, thumbs up

Nice build only thing I would do (This is just personal Prefences) Is get MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Mobo and the MSI GTX 970 to go towards a red/black design. Great overall.

Suggestions are kind of late now, aren't they. Sad you're skimping on your perhipherals though, they're the most important bits imho.

I cant say that peripherals are the most important part, u can game on a 10 pound keyboard and mouse set but if ur running a 9500gt then goodluck getting gta 5 to be playable

That's a bit of a strawman, you're now dragging it into extremism. I'm talking about not spending that much on a cooler or ssd (aircooler and bx100 256gb would've sufficed) and shoving that towards a better panel. As that is important, since that is directly related to the imagequality your eyes perceive..

the mouse thing was a suggestion by my buddy, he said it helped his wrist when he is playing sports. (i get the same problem sometimes but recently i have not had it so i might take it off) and the monitor was also a suggestion from a person on one of my other forum questions.

I don't know, buying a 1080p monitor when you're buying an i7 in 2015 just seems kinda off...

Dropping that i7, 850 pro and H100i for more reasonable parts could've squeezed in something like a Dell 2515H.

i was thinking of it but i dont know how to.  also, its my first build so it may not be the best.

Thats why you should do a build log. To show the people the dos and donts when building a PC.

But... but... the build has NO color scheme whatsoever. GAHHH!

The case has no window so for now im not worrying about the color scheme, but i know what your saying, i agree, but for now, no color scheme.

Either he should've asked before, or shouldn't have asked after. This is kinda contradictory +)
