Dynamic Super Resolution

Go to solution Solved by werto165,

As far as I know you have to download the geforce experience. And there will be an option to enable it somewhere. I'll take a screenshot once my geforce experience loads.

EDIT: Nope it's under the nvidia control panel, just right click your desktop and you should see it there:

recently, i was building my first PC on pcpartpicker, i had an i7, 16gb, a GTX 970, and but other stuff you would get for a good-great pc.  The GTX 970 i had was the "Asus GeForce GTX 970 strix". The card had zero decibel cooling (fan goes on when it only needs it), third generation delta coler compression, 4FXFAA (runs 30% faster), and dynamic super resolution (DSR).  Now, as you see in the title, it says DSR, and my question about it was, does the "EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked" (the other card that i was looking at getting) have DSR.  I tried to look it up but i cant find much on it.  i am fairly new to PC's and this is my first build so if i did something wrong, im sorry.  Also, any help would be appreciated.

DSR is a feature that is supported on near enough every Nvidia card since the 400 series. Any 970 can do it, just Asus are marketing it

DSR is software functionality. Essentially DSR is an SSAA alternative. It does the exact same thing, except it works on many many titles, rather than just a select few.

Yeah, just found it, I couldn't really remember which one was which. But I've included a screenshot.

All 970s have DSR regardless of brand.

I wouldn't get the Asus or EVGA though. Gigabyte G1 is the best 970 to get.

That was my first option until i saw forums of it and how people didint like it, also their website does not say anything about having DSR. (i found out you can look up their company product and in the small specs box)

I have one myself, and I love it. So does everyone else on this forum that has one. The G1 Gaming is one of the best 970s you can buy, due to their cherry-picking GPU process.

Again, they don't have to say anything about DSR on their website, because ALL GTX 970, regardless of brand, will have DSR.

evga isn't bad either. the g1 is a great overclocker but evga has the best customer service and warranty in the business. both are good choices, however many people are reporting problems with asus cards so ya, i'd stay away from asus.

The G1 is a really good card, and is a great overclocker, can only recommend it if you can get a good deal on it !

i was thinking of getting the G1 at first but then i heard about DSR with the asus.  me not knowing that DSR was on most cards, i said  i was going to get the asus. now i know the G1 supposedly has DSR (i still cant find any info on it but according to anillation, they do have G1)  so im planning on going with the G1 for the cooling and nice looks. also because im going with liquid cooling for my CPU soo i would not mind a GPU that can handle itself very well.

DSR is an NVIDIA feature. It is controlled by software and is supported from the 400 series onward.
