This just started happening a few days ago. I lowered everything to minimal, and OC'd my GPU 1150/1600. When driving through the city, FPS will drop to 25FPS at times.

1080p

290X

i7 @ 4.7GHz

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Do you have the advanced options turned on? If so, turn them off, and turn your other settings back up.

Don't overclock your GPU.

I'd say driver crashes can occur even at stock clocks... But that's for 970s... :(

The Titan Xs don't like overclocks in GTA V... always dial them back while playing.

Installed the Beta driver and it fixed it :) first time a Beta has ever worked for me.

GPU is at stock. And a few settings at High. Getting no lower than 75FPS in the same area of city.

Thanx for all the help!

Is that RAM usage right? seems high to me, i only have 8GB.

My CPU is also back at stock, would a 'mild' OC help?

Normal ram usage for GTA:5.

Yes, the game is mostly CPU bottlenecked(depend on your setting) so overclocking the CPU help. Reduce OC if you experience heavy FPS fluctuations.
