Best 4K monitors on the market?

So a friend of mine games on a 50" 1080p TV as his monitor and sits like 4 feet away and after explaining to him that 1440p and 4K monitors exists and watching reviews he's dead set on buying a 4K monitor.

 

Anyway i'm not to up to date on monitors these days but i know there are plenty of good ones and plenty of bad ones so if i could have some recommendations for a 4K monitor around 27" - 32" at a reasonable price i would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Yup. I said reasonable price because there are some crazy expensive 4K monitors out there from what i have seen. I'm pretty much looking for the best value 4K monitor that is suitable for gaming.
