So I was looking at buying Windows 8 for my new computer and was planing on buying windows 8 Pro student from the Microsoft Store when my friend suggested that I use G2A to buy it instead where it appears that they are selling windows 8 pro from 30$ USD. Is this legit or some kind of scam as It is really cheap for windows and has anyone had any experience buying windows from G2A?

I heard some stuff about that it was some sort of special key that expires.. Wouldn't recommend it to be honest.

Did hear some good stuff about /r/microsoftsoftwareswap

Never ever buy someting from G2A.

G2A is fine.

There are some people that claim they sell MSDN keys which can expire quickly, but I've had a system running Windows 8 from G2A for over a year with no problems. Even if they are MSDN keys, Windows 10 will be around before it expires.

What I heard is that those keys expire, so you can't re-install your Windows with that key

Not sure about that, I've never tried it. I think they're meant to be similar to OEM keys, but for educational places and such, and they're not meant to be sold on. I've heard they can expire within a year or so, but it's not confirmed whether G2A sells them or not. It may be that people have bought from sellers that sell through G2A, so they say that G2A sells the MSDN keys, when really it's just the individual seller.

Got my Windows 8 64bit key from G2A no issues. Re-installed at least 3 times as I've gotten new hardware and such and not a single issue yet. I think alot of people just hate on G2A because they're too scared to try it for themselves.

I've bought a couple of games from G2A. I don't recommend it to anyone, though. It would be like recommending people to gamble.
