hello does anyone know what the security bit is called when the head of the screw looks like a triwing screw but the middle is gone? i have tried to open it with the pen method but it didnt work for the screw

security torx?

you can easily unscrew them with a flathead screwdriver

the flat head should fit between the center circle and the outer notches of the screw, then just unscrew it

 

not very secure if you ask me

You can buy a good security bit set for 20$

There are over 30 different sizes torx bits and the security variant will not work unless it the exact size so that won't exactly work.

Buy one of these will last you for a long time they should work on the bolt unless it's fatter then a pencil or thinner than a toothpick.
