I've used both of them, but I just can't decide which one is better. I like how fast and snappy windows 8.1 is, but the tiles and the home screen are a little annoying (I've gotten used to it now). But then there's windows 7 which is extremely easy to use and I've been using it for years. I like how the start menu is right there and you can just type something in and boom, it's there. But with windows 8, you would have to install a bunch of applications and stuff to make it function the same way as windows 7.

And even though this isn't a huge difference, windows 8.1 performs like .5% better in games then windows 7. I'll be getting like 30 fps in a game, but on windows 8.1, I might get 31 or 32.

There are multiple things that make something better; but what I'm mainly looking for is performance, security, and efficiency. And simply, I do not know which one to use.

Like the gaming performance.. they are much of a muchness.. what you do with it is has much more effect on it's security thatn the os in 7 vs 8.1

You can get rid of the tiles in 8.1 with a custom UI.. Also it's more like 5% rather than 0.5% if your gettin 31 - 32 FPS vs 30

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Quote or @dzzope to get my attention..
