AMD and Nvidia Short question

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

Since i'm a little more familiar with AMD Graphics Cards

What Graphics Card did NVIDIA release to match AMD's R9 270x up to 295x2

270X is like 760 or so.. From there you pretty much have 770, 970, 980 doesn't yet reach the R9 295X2..

The Titan X is something to compare the R9 295X2, but the AMD card is dual GPU on one thing.. So hard to compare.

(also, the 270X is a rebranded GPU, just like the other R9 and R7 cards so you can say the 670 rivals the 270X too

295x2 > Titan Z > 780Ti > 290x > 780/290 > 280x > 770 > 280 > 760 > 270

The 980 > 780Ti, and a 970 > 780.

In the 900 series, the 960 competes with the 280.

Above that the line is blurry, because even though the 970 was supposed to compete with the R9 290, it's actually more expensive than the 290x (usually). The 980 competes with pretty much nothing, since there is no single gpu card from amd that performs or costs the same. The 295x2 would be the 980's competitor in terms of price, but in terms of performance it completely destroys it. As of right now there is no 700 or 900 series dual gpu card (although I am crossing my fingers for a 990). I think we can agree that the titan z doesn't count.

The 680 is much better than the 270X, because a 680 = 770. Therefore a 680 is inbetween the 280 and the 290 if I'm correct.

Yeah, true. I was thinking about the 670 and 680.. And my brain farted and wanted me to write down the the GTX 680..

The GTX 680 is around the 280X.
