CPU heatsink

Does it matter with heat sinks whether it is a a 2011 or 1150 processor. or do they all fit both?

Acording to noctua wrbsite it supports 2011 you just have to use different mounting... things.

But, yes. Noctua is always real good in supporting sockets, even the older ones. It should come with the hardware required to mount it, if not, Noctua will send you the correct ones for free (or was it only the case when 2011 just came out?)

Oh right i forgot about their site and i just had a look and it does support 1150 and it also supports 2011 as well. Thanks anyway!

U14S won't have brackets to 2011 by default. You can get the for free by contacting support with your receipt and asking for them. The mounting hardware for 1150 and 2011 is different.

It should'nt. The only difference is that some coolers only have by default 1150 socket mounting equipment so some of them will require to buy a mounting kit for a 2011 socket
